Why does life feel so meaningless sometimes?
That heavy, empty feeling—like nothing really matters—is something more people experience than you might think. It can creep in during quiet moments or after you’ve achieved something you thought would make you happy, only to find yourself wondering, Is this it?
Sometimes this emptiness comes from living life on autopilot. When you're stuck in routines that don't challenge or inspire you, it’s easy to lose sight of what makes life exciting. Another reason could be that we’re taught to tie our value to external things—grades, money, validation from others. But once you get those things, they often don’t feel as fulfilling as you imagined.
To start finding meaning, shift your focus from big life questions to small joys. Meaning isn’t something you “find” one day like buried treasure. It’s something you create by noticing the beauty in ordinary things: a great song, laughing with a friend, or learning something new.
Try asking yourself: What makes me feel truly alive? Lean into those moments. Pursue curiosity, connection, and creativity. Life's meaning isn’t fixed—it’s something you build, piece by piece.
And remember, it’s okay not to have all the answers right now. Life isn’t a straight line, and your path is uniquely yours.
